will my doodle like water if she is not crazy about the bath?

Gave Casey a bath today.  Not too crazy about it.    she dealt with it but definitely did not love it.  Wondering if this means she won't like to swim?

She does love the snow though :0)

Myla hates having a bath - I'm not sure how she knows it's bath time but she does and she tries to hide!  We joke that she understands everything we say because no matter how coy I think I am, she knows she's going to have a bath and gives me that look!  As for swimming, omg, that is totally different!   She is a water dog!  We can't get her out!  If we walk along the shore, she swims beside us!  We no longer throw a ball in the lake for her because she swims out and gets it but will not get out of the water to give it to us!  When we are travelling in our RV, as soon as she sees a body of water, she is standing up and whining because she wants us to stop!  I cannot figure out why she hates a bath as much as she does - I'm guessing she just doesn't like being "clean" lol - as soon as I let her outside after a bath, she will go to the dirtiest part of our yard and roll!  So don't worry, she might still like to swim!  Myla also loves the snow!  She goes snowshoeing with DH all the time and as soon as puts on his snowpants, she will not leave his side!

My doodle is not a fan of bath time but I can't keep her out of pools, lakes, etc.!

I don't think they are too related.  All of my dogs (total of 4) have hated baths and 3 out of 4 of them grew to enjoy swimming.  The other one has never had a chance to swim...so we'll see maybe this summer.

Hurley is passionate about getting into any body of water whether it is summer or winter but does not like being bathed. 

Water is just water to us but it is not the same for a dog.

Max hates the bath, but will swim in anything that even resembles water, including huge disgusting mud puddles though he more wallows in those. :)

That's funny - Myla will always avoid mud puddles but loves lakes and streams!  She is our diva-doodle!!!!!

Wendy I wish! I don't take Max to the dog park often, but I took him awhile back, there was this huge mud pit in the middle but all the dogs had so far stayed out of it...until Max went in there and was dancing and rolling in the mud, then he would run around and rub against the other dogs, then they all went in, lol. I'm pretty sure I was not well liked that day. :(

That's funny!  "Leader of the Pack"!  I'm sure you were very unpopular with the owners, but I bet the dogs can't wait for you and Max to come again :)

Wendy lol, that was when I realized I needed to keep towels and a blanket in the car!

Finn looks like he's being punished when he's having a bath.  I'm on to him though because he loves swimming and splashing in lakes, streams, and the ocean.  Outside he'll still splash like a pup in his water bowl. So I don't think the bath thing has anything to do with their love of water.
