Tagging, Uploading, Rotating, etc., for Weekly Slideshows

With the return of the Doodlekisses Slideshow, one of our favorite weekly events here on Doodlekisses, it can be a bit confusing at first and I thought I would offer a visual to help in solving some of the most common problems members have trying to submit and TAG their photos into the Weekly Slideshows of 2015

1.

• Click PHOTOS
• Click ADD

• Click CLICK TO ADD PHOTOS

• Click CHOOSE FILE ( in your own computer go to your pictures.  Use a jpeg or tiff file only)
• Click OK

• Click UPLOAD

Here you can make some edits to the photo at the time of upload only

• ADD  TAG ( bottom left)   

• Make a  New Folder : Summer, Winter, Romp, etc ( only if you use folders otherwise just leave alone to add to your own slideshow )  note: each folder holds 100 photos 
• ROTATE ( if your photo presents sideways ) 

When you are all done with presentation 

• click SAVE 

6.  Photo that has previously been uploaded that you just need to TAG for the slideshow

IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THE PHOTO UPLOADED ON DK BUT WANT TO JUST TAG

• go to the photo you want to choose
• Select OPTIONS  
• click TAG 

Note: when tagging a photo be sure to pay attention to characters: all lower case, upper case, etc    Tagging must be EXACT

Just an FYI

• A Tag is a link.  By tagging your photo it links it to the DK search engine and makes it available to be found.  Tagging must be exact or there is no way to find your photo.  We have all made this mistake: putting in a capital letter or forgetting the number so be precise when tagging your photo
• 100 photos.   The slideshow can contain 100 photos!  Be sure to tag your ONE favorite so everyone gets a chance.  A common mistake, but a big one, is when someone uploads 10 photos and tags them all with the same tag.  This makes it really hard on the person going through photos. So, just one.   Dont feel bad if you did not get in from time to time-it happens.  No worries, there will be more

Awesome!  Thanks for doing that :-)  I'll have to link to this description in the slide show announcement.  Only one thing was left out.  In the second to last photo...you could add the tag right there without having to go back to edit the image.  But if the image is already uploaded then the last photo shows how to do it :-)

Got it!  Thanks for helping me get this right.  Sometimes, when we are here for so many wonderful years  (600 B.C.) we just do it by rote and I really had to think out the steps

Thanks Joanne, I finally found it in one of my "circles" email lists along with Adina's from last week. I'm not sure why they are going there or how to get them to just go into the regular Inbox, so I'll have to use another form of reminder I guess. Duh.
