Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

This just in from Shannon.....There are 10 doodles in the Harnett County Animal Shelter that are available for adoption immediately!! 5 female labradoodles 4 male labradoodles 1 female lab/aussie/shepherd mix. Harnett is a HIGH KILL FACILITY! These dogs are on borrowed time so any assistance is deeply appreciated!!

FYI It has come to our attention that these dogs were surrendered by a breeder of questionable integrity. There have been reports of hereditary health problems with this breeders dogs...Von Willebrand's Disease in particular...Von Willebrands is a blood disorder characterized by insufficient platelets and blood clotting fuction. It is similar to hemophilia in humans..It is manageable with medication.....

Anyone interested in adopting a doodle PLEASE CONTACT THIS FACILITY IMMEDIATELY! If there is anyone in the local area who has the means to foster these dogs please contact Shannon at IDOG rescue@idog.biz or let me know via DK email.

Thank you!

IDOG has pulled these dogs, they are now safe.
I am new to Doodle Kisses. I train service dogs specifically for children. If you think that any of the rescued dogs would have what it takes to make a service dog, please let me know. I am really looking for a black or chocolate male at this point.
Thanks Mary...but last we heard they were adopted and I know nothing more.
Mary,

I have a chocolate male, 9 months old that is current on all shots and heartworm protection. Things are not working out and my husband wants me to find him a good home. We bought him from a very good reputable breeder and both parents were thoroughly tested with no health issues. He is very healthy but really needs training (obedience). He does live in the house and is housebroken. I really feel bad about letting him go but saw your post and I think he would make an excellent service dog with some training. He is a very loving boy and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. If you want, you can contact me privately at tnvalleybldhound@bellsouth.net. I would need to find out more from you to know if this would be right for him. I live in Alabama.

Patty ...Would you mind if I forward yur info to IDOG?.....They have pre- approved applicants waiting for dogs and Snake would be placed quickly....
Patty.....I sent you a few emails privately but I would like to encourage you to please contact Jill at Walkadoodle and let her know that you are rehoming one of her babies......I don't know the stipulations of her adoption contract but I'm certain that as Snake's breeder she would like the first opportunity to either take him back or rehome him herself......Morally and ethically it is the right thing to do and certainly it is what is BEST for Snake..........
Have you found a home for him?
