The advert was pulled due to legitimate protest but watch this discussion. The #GoDaddy #Puppy advert is the last one to be discussed in this clip but worth a watch:

I don't think they did it on purpose as a stunt. But I think they are riding the wave now. I believe they were thinking that people like puppies....associate puppies with Go Daddy...just clueless about the rest of it.  These are people that think you still buy puppies out of a box.

Many of their ads have been close to crossing the line (which is why my website is not with them!!), this one was just plain stupid. And who is the irresponsible person/ breeder that allowed their puppies to be used in the ad? Whether it was intended or not, they got what they wanted - plenty of free publicity. But, I know many many people with dog related websites hosted by Go Daddy that are now removing their websites and searching for a new host. I really hope that the lost business is greater than that generated by the free publicity.

I watched them both. GoDaddy was mean. I cried over the Bud ad.

There were four ads shown, none of them was a Bud ad.

Sorry, I should have  been clearer--the GoDaddy ad was supposed to be a parody of the Bud SuperBowl ad. The Bud ad [you can see if on the Huffington Post article about the GoDaddy ad] is very touching.
