I often admired Camilla's and DJ's Challenges this year. I waited until now to commit. It seems fitting to come home ( DK ) and place them here.
Truly, the more the merrier and I'm among the best of friends.
I do post from time to time on facebook at Frayed Knots for my family or those family members who do not want to see my photos all the time on my regular page I took one out separate. You are welcome to follow.
Have a Wonderful Year

Thank you all. It will certainly respark the controversy but maybe settle some disputes we have here too.
I'm looking forward to flowers soon
The explosion and invasion of Mute Swans since 1980 and DNR wanting to eradicate them by a certain year. I think it was you who told me that one article wanted them gone by 2025.
Versus the ' Threatened' status of the Trumpeter Swan
It is controversial here. There are even yard signs and arguments and people showing up at voting booths.
So, you get both sides. Those thinking killing them on their own is a great and a fun sport however they have no idea the difference in the two swans. Sad. While others have no idea how an invasive species can wipe out the other threatened species. A swan is a swan to them. So, it is to get others educated but that seems a drowning battle at this point
BTW- the fb post.... is not so good. Same stuff, different day, and the photo was not the best one.
? no I have no idea how you got that but.... that's okay.
Not the greatest of zoom lenses but it works for me. Of course, if anyone has a 500mm laying around that seems useless to them they can throw it this way
Joanne, I have the 70-300 zoom but haven't used it much. Do you use a tripod with it?
No Anne, not with this lens. It is not too heavy to carry around but it is too heavy for my cheap tripod. It can and has been done but not safely. Say for example, around Spud. With a sturdy tripod it would work fine
You have a very steady hand!
An amazing shot, one of my favs!
