Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hi, does anyone out there have a light apricot goldendoodle with a brown nose? There's a puppy we're considering, and we'd really like to see some photos of what he might look like. Thanks!

What do you think about the picture? Do you think his nose will darken?
You can't tell from a picture. It's really a genetic issue. If the parents carry for chocolate, it's possible. If your breeder has the pedigree of the poodles she can tell you if there's chocolate in the lines. You would need to check the poodles on both sides. Show us another picture in 2-4 days. I'm not a betting person, but I'll wager 50 cents that it'll get darker. :o)
Thanks, you've been really helpful!
No problem! :o)
Wow....thanks for the info. I so love DoodleKisses and the members! Gives me a happy place to go to every day!!!

Cali is a cream colored w/some apricot and she has a brown nose. She is almost 2 years old.
Thank you! That's a face anyone could love!
Our labradoodle has a pink/brown nose. That's one of the reasons we picked her from the litter. She stood out from the other pups. I'm new to the site so I hope the picture goes thru.

I had a gorgeous light blonde golden retriever who started out with a coal black nose. His nose lightened up to what we called "rusty." My vet told me this was not unusual in light goldies or pale labs. Connor our goldendoodle is apricot and had a totally black nose as a little pupy. He is now 15 months old and the big button part is still black but it has a little rusty color on top where it meets the hairy part of his muzzle. The color is not really brown or liver like a lab, though. Even if the puppy you're considering has a rusty nose as he/she grows up, it will still be an incredibly beautiful dog AND you cannot chose a better dog as far as loyalty and temperment goes.

BTW, some dogs are born with pink noses, but change to black in a short period of time. :-)
Thanks to everyone who replied to this question! It's great to ask for some information and receive it so quickly and willingly!
