Has anyone heard of this Pet Protector Disc? Anybody here use it? A friend of mine told me about it and it seems a little too good to be true but who knows. This is the first I've ever heard of anything like this but I sure would love to stop using my current flea preventative.

It is too good to be true. We had a discussion about a similar product here a few years back. The consensus is that these things are worthless and the science behind them is junk science.

Thanks! Yeah it sounded like BS. Our friend swears it is why her dog has never had fleas but I imagine that tag is doing about as much as the collar is in repelling fleas.
I've told this story before, but it's worth telling it again.
With my last dog, I did not use anything to prevent fleas (ticks are not an issue in my area). No flea collars, no spot-ons, no oral preventatives, no electromagnetic tags, no essential oils, nothing. And for 14 and a half years, my dog never got fleas, even though I lived right near the woods. So for that whole 14.5 years, I could have said, "Using nothing works to prevent fleas, because my dog never got them." Other people's dogs got fleas, and I thought, well, my dog is healthier, or has a better diet, or is better groomed, or something.
And then, at 14.5 years of age, she got the mother of all flea infestations. It took months and thousands of dollars to eradicate them.
Point being, of course, that every dog never had fleas until they get them, lol. When it comes to parasites, there's just no way to know which dog is going to attract which bug, or when. I think your friend is just lucky.
