We often struggle here to predict colors, coats and sizes of dogs. Many of us will remember the famous marble explanations of genetics. This is a dramatic human example of diversity and how genetic diversity can look. I found it interesting.

Genetics are fascinating. Thanks for sharing, F.

Wow! Very interesting...thanks for sharing it. But I have to admit when I first saw their picture the "Switched at Birth" TV show came to mind! LOL

I find this fascinating....I also can't believe that anyone would question them. They have a diverse family. I think the girls look more like each other when they were little.

Yes, I also find genetics fascinating.  We have twin granddaughters who look nothing alike (one tall and thin, straight blonde hair, with fine facial features and the other a tall, stocky basketball player with natural curly dark hair).  The fact their facial features look nothing alike from birth has always amazed me.  Early on many of their friends questioned the fact they were twins also - thinking there were just joking!  Not a chance.  LOL

I have. Biracial friend who favors his black heritage, while his sister looks white. He recounts how they grew up with different experiences socially due to their appearance. He had twins with his white wife and like the story, one is fair while the other has darker skin. His wife tells a story of walking the boys in a double stroller and someone commenting "aww twins" then after peering inside the stroller said "oh I guess not." They are all beautiful people.

Very interesting F.

So interesting! Thanks for sharing.
