Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

So we were pretty certain we wanted a mini UNTIL our breeder let us know that one of her current puppies is available after a family changed their mind. Of course I fell head over heels with his cuteness as soon as I saw his photos! He's an F1B standard goldendoodle expected to be 40-45lbs, so now we need to decide if we want to stay on our original waiting list for the F1B mini (expected to be 20-25lbs) or if we should welcome this little cutie into the family. He already has the cuteness factor going for him for sure! We are a little concerned with sizing since we have two small kids. I'd love to see how big your doodles are and how much they ended up weighing to sort of get a better idea of what we can expect and to hopefully help us a bit with our HUGE decision :)

Our Moe weighs in at 90 pounds. He is way, way larger than I was expecting.

That's a BIG boy! But still adorable!

Our Max is 70 lbs, much larger than both of his parents and we were told he would be 50-55lbs. We got him when our kids were 3 years and 5 years old. He was great with them and loves all children. We just got a new puppy and she is suppose to be medium size 35 -45 lbs. She is substantially smaller than Max was as the same age so maybe smaller closer to the breeders guess. She is also from a breeder that has bred the same two dogs before so they have more of an idea. I think if the dog is trained appropriately the size is a second thought. Good luck in your decision!
Duncan is a pretty big guy (at least in my opinion!). He weighs about 65 lbs and is tall and lanky. I am 5 ft 6 in tall, and he can easily rest his paws on my shoulders and give me a kiss if he's on his hind legs. But I've always been a little partial to big goofs, so it works for our family :).
Mika just turned 1 and she is 59#.. He parents were 55&59. She is a multi-Gen Goldendoodle. Our breeder said with most of her pups they stay pretty close to their parents. Except for a few males that surprise her. Mika is a bit heavy, but at 60# I can still lift her, or carry her if needed.
My niece's Labradoodle is only 40#, and he was very easy to pick up.
