Darby is 8 weeks old and came to us with a UTI.  I know she was given 2 baths before we got her.  Can bathing puppies this young cause a UTI?  She's been on antibiotics for 3 days but is super stinky from the strong smelling urine.  Is she too young for a bath?  If so, I'm buying baby wipes in bulk :)

My puppies were bathed every single day ...probably from the time they walked, until they left with their new families. No UTIs. UTIs are caused by bacteria in the urinary tract.
If she's stinky bathe her!
Great!!! Running the bath water NOW :) Thank You!!!
Clean smelling, snuggly puppy! ;)

When my little girl was a puppy, she had what the vet told me was puppy vaginitis which I was told is very common. I know your little one has a UTI;  I would suspect it is not from bathing but lack of keeping her vaginal area clean and allowing bacteria into the urinary tract. I would not submerse her in the water, but I would give her a bath. Also, I would suggest cleaning her vaginal area daily with a warm, wet, clean washcloth. As for myself, I would keep away from baby wipes because many have scents and other things that may not be good for her.
