Well Asta was neutered on Friday.

Happy Mother's Day to everyone.  

After much discussion with our Vet, I opted for the laser procedure.  He came through with flying colors.  No cone needed, only needed one pain pill late Friday night, no pain since.  A bit of diarrhea when he first came home which cleared up before bedtime.  By dinner time he had a normal appetite and Saturday, he was  his normal playful self.  Happy I chose the laser procedure.

I have heard the laser is easier on them.  So glad Asta feels better today.

I am really in favor of the laser surgery and will be what I insist on next time around.

I'm glad Asta's procedure went well.  I wish our Vet does laser procedure.  I called today to schedule Cooper's neutered for this coming Friday and unfortunately they do not do laser procedure.  They said they finish the wound up with a laser cooling, which helps it heal faster.

I am dreading Friday.  I was told no breakfast and no water :(  How can I look at Cooper and tell him I can't give him breakfast?!  My boys will be eating their breakfast and he'll be so sad and hungry :(  How did you do it with Asta?  Did she had to skip breakfast too?  Cooper will be taken in at 8:30 am. and be ready for pick up at 4:30 p.m.

It is difficult :(. No food/water after midnight. Had to be at the Vet by 8. So itwasn't too bad because he doesn't usually have breakfast until 9.
