Hurt back leg

Lilly is very enthusiastic when post or UPS comes to the door. She jumps off all fours, today she must not have had a good landing. I heard her barking, then yelp and now she's not putting pressure on her back leg and panting more than normal. Our vet can't see her for several more hours, however we have an emergency vet very near by.
Should I wait it out or go to the ER?

I would wait and go to a familiar vet.

Well, I would probably keep her still and wait it out unless she is showing signs of distress and pain. Sorry to hear she is injured, please let us know how she is doing after your vet visit!

While waiting for Lilly's appt with her vet, she seems to have recovered a bit. She's walking a little cautiously, but doesn't seem distressed as earlier. We'll wait and see how she is doing tomorrow.

I was gonna share that when Angus was a little puppy he kinda fell/slid down the stairs and then the next morning was sugar-footing a little/limping. We of course rushed him off to the vet (I'm a very nervous puppy mom) who gave us an anti-inflammatory. By the following day he was totally fine. Sometimes they just strain a muscle or twist something like a person, but are better shortly after. Good luck with puppy!
