chewing

Hi all,

Ringo is almost 8mo old now and he has been doing some ridiculous chewing as of late. Any toy I buy him that has stuffing loses it's stuffing within hours. He even shreds some rope toys! His favorite activity these days is sitting in the back yard shredding pinecones. 

There's not much of a health issue here, but it's sad that I have to throw away most all of his toys. Any advice? Will this pass with time?

you're welcome.  We just keep reordering the elephant because it lasts so long.  The one other one we tried, i think the rabbit, he tore the first day but they were wonderful about it and sent me an elephant for no charge.

I have one dog that never destroys toys, one that did as a pup and outgrew it, and one that lives to have the destruction speed record - and he is seven.  Clancy never met a toy he didn't love to death.

Thanks for all the advice! Ringo *occasionally* eats a bit of a toy but throws it up or passes it. I'm generally very very watchful when he is around toys I haven't already removed the stuffing from, lol. I might try out a couple of these toys... will report back!
