16 week old house broken Goldendoodle is all the sudden peeing in the house

Our 16 week-old male doodle, Ranger, has been house broken for 6 weeks.  All of the sudden, he is peeing in the house-all over, not the same place.  He gets let out a lot and doesn't drink excessive amounts of water.  I just don't understand.  Has this ever happened to anyone?  I will take a urine sample in the morning and run it up to the vet to test for UTI.  Thanks.

I think a vet check for a UTI is a good idea.

Sounds exactly like a UTI ...or is he on any other medication...?

My daughters cat did that and she did have a UTI. The cat was about 4 years old at the time. After the meds kicked it, she was back to her old self and going in the litterbox.

I'd get an answer first on UTI.  If it comes back negative, I think you'll have to start the housebreaking process again.  I have read that this can sometimes happen....a regression.

If it's not a UTI issue, it could be stress of some kind.  Was there a change in Ranger's routine?  I would go back to the crate training, praise him when he goes potty outside, tether him with you when he is out of his crate.  Meanwhile neutralize all the soiled spots.

Thank you everyone for your responses.  I wanted to update that I took a urine sample in to the vet the following day and they called me back within the hour to inform me that Ranger had a "very bad UTI" and prescribed him antibiotics for 10 days.  Live and learn.  Now I know that if my housebroken dog all of the sudden starts urinating the house, for no reason, that there's a good chance he has an infection.

I am sorry Ranger has a bad UTI, but am happy it wasn't behavioral.

I'm glad to hear that Ranger will now be on the mend. 

I just wanted to say that I am TOTALLY impressed that he was completely housebroken at 10 weeks. What a good boy!
