The HDA Award is in the Indiana Woods!

On the afternoon of National Dog (Doodle) Day.... Bailey and I were hanging out on the deck when the doorbell rang!  After much barking.... we discovered a box at the front door!  I brought it in and Bailey checked out the box adorned with puppy prints!

How exciting!!!  We were chosen to receive the Hopeless Doodle Addict award!!!!  The box came all the way from Florida and was chock full of goodies chosen for us by Lori, Daphne, Lucy, and Pippa!!

We were fortunate to have met Lori, Daphne and Lucy a couple years ago when we attended a romp in Jacksonville.  I am thrilled to have the award passed on to me... from Lori!!  

What a fun selection of gifts Lori included for Bailey and me!! 

Bailey got gourmet treats from Bubba's Bistro and she could not wait to get into them!

There were cheese nips and fresh meatballs!!  Wow...so yummy!!  

Bailey also got some great squeakie toys and a special little red ball called a "Zanie".  There was a portable water bottle with attached bowl and a darling little red scarf that says "Will Bark For Treats"!

Bailey is having a blast with her Zanie ball....It is fun to watch her chase it all over as it bounces crazily around the room!  She loves her new squeakies and she carries the spider around the house!  

My gifts included some wonderful Yankee Candle products with the scent of Sun and Sand!  I can now close my eyes and I almost hear the surf on the beaches of Florida!!  There is a candle, some scented beads, and a plug-in scented oil with a pretty cover.  

I also got a set of adorable car coasters with paw prints on them,  a beautiful picture frame (complete with bling!),  a Doodle Mom window sticker for my car,  and  HDA Doodle Kisses magnets and key chain!!   

This sweet doodle girl is truly my "heart dog" and she is the reason I found Doodle Kisses!

I have learned so much from DK and spent countless hours on the site.  It has been a priceless resource for all kinds of information and has just simply been a godsend to me!  I have loved reading about other's experiences and seeing the photos they share.  I have asked for help and gotten it along with support and kind words.  I have tried to pay it forward when I can offer a bit of advice to someone who reaches out. I feel like I have friends across the country and across the ocean who understand our obsession with these adorable creatures .....our DOODLES!

Thank you Lori, for all the cool gifts and most of all for picking me to be the HDA award recipient!!

Thanks, Julie!  I see you are in Cincinnati.  I lived there for my high school years and graduated from Univ. of Cincinnati.  I was just there this weekend attending my 50th high school reunion!  Indeed it is a small world!  :)

Now that is quite a coincidence - I also graduated from UC (go Bearcats!), and my father was actually in Evansville this weekend for HIS 50th high school reunion!  (the old Central HS)  Too funny.  I hope you had a great weekend here!  :)
