Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hi all ! I currently have 2 medium ALD, and love their temperament and the endearing looks! We are looking into adding a third and I was looking into a puppy from a ALD and 3rd generation cockapoo. I have read that there can be a cockapoo infusion in an ALD, but my concern is the puppy will look like a cockapoo and not an ALD... does anyone have any knowledge about this> I have tried to research on the web, but have come up empty handed. If anyone has any info they can share it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Hi Susan,
My Tara is a mini ALD and her mom was an ALD and her dad a 2nd generation Cockapoo. She is from Darby Park Doodles. The breeder sometimes infuses Cockapoo into her ALD line but I don't know how often.

Her mom is Ginger and her dad is Junior. The breeder also breeds Cockapoos so you can look at her "parents" pages and compare the two breeds. No one has ever mistaken Tara for a Cockapoo or asked me if she is one. But when you're working with mixed breeds it's difficult to predict a genetic outcome as each puppy can be different. Can the breeder you are considering show you pictures of past litters?
OMG! I lost the post I made for you. Anyway, I have a 6th generational ALD and he is a great dog. From what I know, he is puli, cocker spaniel, and poodle. No labrador in this dog. He has a beautiful coat and little carmel-colored feet and face. They have always been this way. He is about 55 pounds and a very easily-maintained coat.
It is a kind of dog. They are very curly, usually black, and look like Portuguese water dogs. Actually, Harpo has a rather puli face. Look it up with Google.
