Puppy Hair

While brushing my Morgan, I noticed her hair coming out. She is 5 months and never happened before. Is she starting to loose her puppy coat? She has been on Presdison. Can that make her loose her hair.

Higher doses of prednisone can cause some hair loss, but it's temporary.

The coat change starts at about 5 months, so I would say it's pretty normal, depending on how much hair she is losing.

But may I ask: why is she on Prednisone? This is a very harmful medicine, not at the least for her hair.

She has HOD Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy . It is a bone inflammation. I really would not give it to her if she did not need it. One day she went to bed fine.;;;;Next morning I could not get her to stand up. It is very painful and it is during rapid growth. I appreciate your input. Look it up.......I was shocked when I read it.
