not wanting to eat 2 meals

Mikey has been doing this for a few months now. Since he was 5 months he has always gotten 2 meals a day and 6am and 6pm and never any problem. the last 2-3 months Mikey has not wanted any of his morning meal. We typically go to the dog park in the morning so I started feeding him after and sometimes he will eat and sometimes not. He always eats his evening meal. I seems like he wants it all at once. I know I read they need 2 meals. A friend suggested free feeding. Any suggestions?

I agree with Karen. You DEFINITELY need insurance. We have had to use it SO much since we got our pup last year. It's ridiculous. This mixture of breeds seems to have a very strong sense of smell and our dog gets into EVERYTHING. He has gotten much better in the last 6 months, but he still grabs and things and just sucks em right down. Sometimes you don't even know because they just hork it right down their throat!

yes. I hear you guys and I am fully understanding. My husband just refuses and I have no clue why. I guess it looks like its costing more I don't know. Mikey actually just pooped out a huge piece of paper towels and I have no clue when or how he got it. He is acting normal. No more vomitting and he ate so we will see. I am now just missing 2 more socks I need him to pass. I am going to have a talk with husband tonight

If it helps, we use Healthy Paws Pet insurance and it's only $30/month and after the deductible covers anything associated with accidents - we wished we had gotten this immediately since we spent over $600 taking him to the ER in the middle of the night when a stick poked his throat and we thought something was stuck.

Good luck with talking to the DH! We are happy we have the insurance for sure...
