Editing

White balance  looked at and liked did not adjust 

Adjusted exposure

Adjusted levels command

Made layers as shown above

Pepper layer increased sharpness and enhanced color

Inverse of Pepper (background) decreased sharpness 

Eyes sharpened and upped saturation

Grass area in front of Pepper burned (darkened) due to using hot shoe flash which was pointed up and bounced off a reflector that area had more light on it. Mike
