Great pictures, all of them Donna! Congratulations to your parents on their anniversary! I especially love the fourth picture, very beautiful! Quincy just rounds it all off perfectly!

It was a gorgeous fall day today and knowing the color won't last much longer, I headed up to the wildflower preserve. It was empty and delightful to wander around. WIll post those photos later. The real surprise of the day, though, came when I stopped by Penn's Grant to look for the elusive miniature horses I've tried to photograph for months. Standing by the fence with nothing to shoot AGAIN but an empty pasture, I heard some rustling leaves and walking towards me out of a low hanging tree was an old mare I nicknamed Rosie Dapples. A couple others followed her lead. They are getting their winter coats already.I shot some pictures and then sat by the fence while she gently nibbled on my hand and the others nuzzled my shoulder. Yes, it was a good afternoon.

Rosie shows me she's still spry old girl that enjoys a good roll.
