How nice of Charlotte to provide moral support to her big doodle brother as he rests after Tuesday's minor surgical procedure. The veterinary dermatologist from Tufts called this morning to say that the small mass on Wally's leg was benign. Whoo-hoo!

First, I'm sorry about Ellie's paw, but imagining Beasley racing around with Ellie's sock is quite a picture :o)

Charlotte hurt her paw pad a couple of years ago from racing around on artificial turf (my fault), and I remember needing to keep a sock on her foot when we went out for short walks. I hope that Ellie's heals up quickly.

Thanks, Laurie.  :)  Her pad looks better now but she's still focused on trying to lick it, so the sock's on for another day.  This injury was from too much time running on a tennis court - my fault, too. :(

And Beasley is getting more bold - she just started tugging at the sock right in front of me.  That's my little honey badger!

Laurie, we were away and I'm just catching up. I'm so glad to hear that Wally is better! They couldn't be any cuter!

Thanks, Janie. Now, Charlotte's stomach is upset - maybe from worrying about her brother? I had her at the vet on Monday for her annual exam and Lyme vaccine, so the thought is that she is having a delayed reaction to the vaccination or she picked up some sort of bug when she was there the other day. They gave her fluids and something for nausea and drew blood today. Wally's stitches come out on Friday, unless he removes them himself before then. They look like they're relaxing on the couch in that photo, but I am NOT a relaxed doodle mom this week.

Oh no Laurie not Charlotte too. I hope it just passes quickly and she's back to her happy self. It's so hard when these babies are not well. You have been one busy and worried Mama. I'm glad Wally's stitches will be out and will keep little Charlotte in thoughts and prayers. Hugs to you all.

OMG what a precious photo!  Lovely pic. Glad the mass was benign, too.

Hey Laurie! How is Charlotte doing today?

She's much better, thanks for asking, Janie. She's interested in food again, is drinking, and we just went for a nice long walk.

Now, if Wally would only leave alone his stitches . . . I took off his sock for our walk, figuring that it would be good to get some air circulating around the area, and before I could get the sock back on his leg, he was in full-on licking mode.

Arghhhhhh!

I know that there are greater challenges in this world, but still . . .

Great news on Charlotte! Oh Wally! At least you have the sock to fall back on.  I'm not sure how you get it to stay up, I've never had luck with them, but it seems to be a great solution.  I hope he loses interest in that licking soon!!

I'm so happy to hear that Charlotte is doing better!

Thanks, Jane. She's back to her usual adorable, playful self.

Aw...get better quick quick quick!  Such a cute picture of your precious kids.
