Morgan is going to be spayed on Monday. She is 6.5 months old. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a collar, and not the lampshade one, that is a little more friendly to wear.

I used an inflatable collar when my foster was spayed. It worked great and was very comfortable for her. She could eat, drink, and even sleep in it, and it didn't bang into my walls, lol. You can get them at Petco, Petsmart, online, etc.

Here's one, and it's on sale: http://www.petco.com/product/100555/ProCollar-Premium-Inflatable-Pr...

Lots of people recommend T-shirts, boxer shorts, etc but none of those worked for her, she could still get to the incision.

We used this same one! It was great! Although eventually, Angus figured out how to slip it off...sneaky bugger.

We too used an inflatable collar for Izzy.  Kept it on her the whole time and it didn't really bother her at all.  She used it like a pillow when she was resting.

We used the comfy cone. Not sure of the exact spelling. We picked it up at our local pet store. It is a cone. But it's soft. Much nicer than the hard plastic ones. It can also be worn in reverse. Like a cape. This makes it even nicer for them. We only used it flipped up like the traditional cone when we weren't around. Like at night. After a few days we started using drawstring men's shorts from Walmart. We cut a tail hole and brought the string up and over his collar. Spike was fine wearing the shorts all the time. However supervise just to make sure your pup doesn't wiggle out! :)

I used the 4Paws "Comfy Cone" collar, but I really think the inflatable option is even better.
