Hi all, I'm so distraught. Paz had a fatty tumor on his side, that had been aspirated and was just fatty tissue. This morning, the vet found 3 lumps on Paz, all on his left side; she aspirated them and sent them to the pathologist and I'm hoping to get the results tomorrow. She said they must rule out lymphoma, and it could possible be a sign of infection, so she also took a complete blood panel. She said they looked like inflammatory cells under the microscope, but she is not a pathologist, therefore would not venture a guess. I'm just an absolute mess; I can't stop shaking. Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience.

Thanks for the update. It sounds like Paz is getting wonderful care, and I'm sending good vibes that he continues to feel well throughout his treatments. Will be keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers.
Thanks for the update on Paz. It sounds like you have a fantastic team to help him through this challenge. It's wonderful you have insurance-one less thing to worry about! You'll both be in our thoughts and prayers!
Thanks for the update. It sounds like you have the best news for this terrible situation. Sending good thoughts for Paz to breeze through his treatments.
Hi all, Just wanted to give you a morning update. You all make me feel like Pazzie and I are surrounded by this wonderful, extended family and it feels comforting to exchange these updates. Pazzie had a good night, and is eating like a champ. He's on prednisone which I know makes him hungry, but he definitely is more comfortable. He's on my bed, head across my feet and chilling out. Saying all my prayers and thanking all of you, my special friends.
Keep those updates coming. Paz is part of all of our families and we want to know!
I am so glad Paz can just relax after such a busy day of testing. I continue to pray with hope for you and for Paz.
A big hi to my extended, wonderful family. Paz had a really good night; he is eating, playing and being very mischievous. Walked him at 6:00 AM this morning, and he greeted every jogger and dog. He decided to chase the NYC pigeons and squirrels who are afraid of no one; I've decided to temporarily suspend the "heel" command and Paz is taking full advantage of it. Everyone in our neighborhood (which is huge because we live in Lower Manhattan across from the new World Trade Center) shouts out "we're praying for Paz" as we pass them on the street. Wow, it truly demonstrates how the human animal bond can make this world a kinder, gentler place. FYI, Trupanion contacted me within 8 hours of receiving Paz's initial claim, to let me know they've opened up Paz's file and will be processing the claims very quickly. I truly encourage everyone to explore a Trupanion policy, because their comprehensive coverage has truly facilitated getting state of the art care for my beloved Paz. I will keep you updated and a huge thanks from my heart to all of you, my amazing extended family.
It's so wonderful to hear that he is feeling like himself and even mischievous! It must be so comforting to know he is getting the best care! Keeping you both in thoughts and prayers!
So thankful for this positive update. :)
Hooray! It's great to know that Paz is feeling good after his first treatment and keeping those pesky pigeons in line. But 6 am?? Yikes!! New York loves Paz :) That's awesome -- The more prayers and good thoughts, the better.
