Hi all, I'm so distraught.  Paz had a fatty tumor on his side, that had been aspirated and was just fatty tissue.  This morning, the vet found 3 lumps on Paz, all on his left side; she aspirated them and sent them to the pathologist and I'm hoping to get the results tomorrow.  She said they must rule out lymphoma, and it could possible be a sign of infection, so she also took a complete blood panel.  She said they looked like inflammatory cells under the microscope, but she is not a pathologist, therefore would not venture a guess.  I'm just an absolute mess; I can't stop shaking.  Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience.

AOL has a story today about Lulu, a poodle mix, who was diagnosed with lymphoma 4 years ago and is still going strong after receiving $30,000 worth of treatment from the Cancer Institute at New York's Animal Medical Center.  And Paz is not only receiving cutting edge treatment, but he also is getting chicken soup and an outpouring of love from his Doodle Mom that is sure to do wonders for his immune system. Plus lots and lots of prayers from all his friends and admirers.

Andrea, what uplifting news!  That made my day and I am sure Charlotte's too.

Oh this is hopeful news.  Hoping Paz takes his second treatment well tomorrow.

Wow, this means so much to me.....it's so wonderful to hear a success story!  Thank you so much for sharing this.

Hi All, Pazzie went for his second treatment and the oncologist said he was astounded that all the lymph nodes have shrunk to normal size, and his lungs are clear.  The oncologist said this is highly unusual since Paz has an aggressive form of lymphoma, and the shrinking of all the lymph nodes so quickly, is the best possible response he could hope for.   I told him that all the prayers are helping.   Pazzie is feeling a bit under the weather this morning, which is not unusual after the treatment, but the lumps in his neck are gone, so I'm staying positive.

Oh this sounds very positive. Did you tell the oncologist about the kosher chicken? I bet that is the secret! Xo

Yesterday was a travel day -- Finnegan and I are now in Virginia -- checking in on how Paz did with his treatment.  That's amazing news!  More prayers, more kosher chicken :) Pazzie, feel better, you're doing great.

Great news, so happy to hear Paz is doing good. Sounds like you are providing a very healing place for him

Hi all,

This is the first sentence from the oncologist's written report after he examined Paz yesterday for his second chemo treatment:

" Everything went fine today.  I (the oncologist) am very happy with how much Paz has improved since last week.  His lymph nodes are down to normal and there is no fluid in his chest."

Thank you all for your prayers.  I know there is a long, uncertain road ahead, but I am so very fortunate that you are all my extended family!

What great news. We will hold onto this hope and keep praying!

Woo Hoo Paz!  This is such exciting news. Keep up the good work (and food)-both of you!

So happy to hear the great, positive news!  Hope Paz feels better.  A little more chicken soup should help!  You are taking such good care of him.  Thinking about both of you.
