Samantha got a treat tonight - a fresh new bones. Samantha is so spoiled that she had her Dad hold her paw and the bone while she went for the marrow!

Samantha is like a first born grandchild - she gets to do things that we would have never let our kids do. Our 1st 2 dogs were neverr allowed a raw bone, not allowed to slep upstairs until they were 2. Samantha started sleeping upstairs at 4 months! Funny how time mellows us out!

It is not "spoiled"...it is well loved! Our dogs are most certainly well loved. My nephew (he is 18 now) said that I treat our dogs better than him.(he is just upset that he was born to the wrong sister.) LOL
I do not "hold" bones for our dogs( I would if I needed to) but I have been known to add extra treats (meat and cheese) to bones that are hollowed out already. I call them Natures Kongs.

You noticed it was not me holding the bone. I walked by and DH was sitting there holding her pay and the bone 'bonding'?? They were having such a wonderful time I had to grab my camera. It was so cute. Samantha is so well loved - every ounce of her 63 lbs!! We are driving to Florida so we can have her with us.

tell me your recipe for Nature Kongs? the bones she is eating would be perfect!!

All I do is take lunch meat (or left over chicken or beef if the seasoning is OK) cut up, ched or mozz cheese shredded, yogurt (not too much) and mix it up (think thick paste) and stuff it in the hole.Sometimes I will put cut up raw carrots in the mix. Whatever I have around the house,that the Pups can eat. I do not feed my dogs p.butter because I hate the smell. We try to eat organic (I still love my Coke) at our house so it is fairly healthy.
I tried adding apples but both dogs did not like them in the "kong". They will eat them whole or halved.Not sure what that was about.
Payton's 11 B'day is the 28th and I am making them flax seed flour Pup cakes. I have made them before the dogs love them.I tried one they were bad tasted like a healthy bran muffin.

My Doodle is spoiled with affection, but I don't know about these bones with marrow. What are they and where do I get them???

I buy mine at a butcher shop. Ask if they have any dog bones to sell. At my shop they go fast.

Waaaay too spoiled....on the website www.cafepress.com they have a shirt on there that says...

It is all about the doodle!!! I'm going to get it someday!! My husband says that all the time!!

We do frozen yogurt with a tiny rawhide for the stick. We each get a dog that licks the pop while we hold the stick :)

Jackdoodle is extremely spoiled, when you feel sorry for them it's hard to set limits, etc.
But I really think the prize for "Most Spoiled DK Doodle" would have to go to Lynne NJ's Ginger, who has started demanding that Lynne feed her her home-cooked dinners with a FORK! Bite by bite. Apparently, Ginger does not like to get her face dirty!
