I don;t know if they've changed the ingredients or what, but I'd stop giving them.
I don't believe it could possibly cause a puncture in her digestive tract so I wouldn't worry about that.
According to Jack's vets (he has multiple vets as he is a "special needs" doodle, lol) the best and safest way to clean their teeth is by brushing them. I was told to do it three times a week, and to focus on the outer surfaces. I do also give him antlers because he has a need to chew, and there are just too many other things he can't have or do. I know there is a risk of his breaking a tooth, but the benefits outweigh the risks for this particular dog and our this particular situation. He's 11 years old with major health issues, and quality of life at this point is our main concern.
