Just brushing Polly Wolly Doodle out this morning, she loves to be brushed and loves to stand on her table with her head turned into my chest while I do it.  You can't not love a dog that wants to love you that much.  She has changed from a fairly aloof pup to one that wants her turn to curl up beside my on a regular basis.  She likes to get half on my lap and throw her head back against me so that I can scratch under her chin and neck, then she settles in for about an hour.  She is extremely playful, loving and also will entertain herself with balls when no one is available to play, drops it on the floor and catches it as it bounces back up, drops it on my kitchen floor (old house with slant to the floor) runs to the other side of the island to catch it as it comes out and heads straight to her bed the minute the bedroom door is opened for the night.  More than social and full of love.

Meg gets brushed as well, not sure why I bother, no matter how much I brush off of her (not even the furminator slows it down) she drops ten times that much on my floor.  It takes a Roomba and a vacumm on a regular basis to try to catch it all and my floors are never hair free.  How does one animal lose that much hair and not go bald?  In spite of it, she is so loved.  I can whisper her name from across the room and her tail will wag in her sleep.  If Polly has claimed first spot next to me on the couch Meg is that much happier because she then comes up across my lap and pushes Polly back some, she can not possibly get enough love.  In spite of being jealous about my lap, there is nothing that she will not allow Polly to have and when I am not available as the human bed they pile on top of each other to sleep.

I would love to go on about how naturally smart these girls are but I feel like such a bragger every time I do that and honestly can not take a lot of the credit, they just respond so well.

I love their exuberance and their snuggles, it even makes me look the other way when Polly checks the water dispenser to see if a drop is left there for her to lick off (just so happy she has not learned how to operate it yet).

I just love THEM!  Can not imaging life without them and don't care that people think I have turned into the crazy old lady with the dogs.  I am confessing right here that there are more pictures of my dogs on my phone than my grandkids.

Love your girls, and love how much you love them. Merry Christmas

I think many of us feel like we've turned into "the crazy old lady with the dogs".  This is very sweet.

How wonderful!  Merry Chistmas.

I do get how you feel.    Although, I think we love our doodles every day.....we have "those" days where we feel so totally in love and appreciative of having them in our lives.    Lovely, loving post!

Very sweet!  I too am a crazy "old" (saying that lightly) dog lady! LOL Enjoy the holidays with your beautiful girls!
