Hi all, I'm so distraught. Paz had a fatty tumor on his side, that had been aspirated and was just fatty tissue. This morning, the vet found 3 lumps on Paz, all on his left side; she aspirated them and sent them to the pathologist and I'm hoping to get the results tomorrow. She said they must rule out lymphoma, and it could possible be a sign of infection, so she also took a complete blood panel. She said they looked like inflammatory cells under the microscope, but she is not a pathologist, therefore would not venture a guess. I'm just an absolute mess; I can't stop shaking. Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience.

As they say, sometimes it feels good to be bad!
Okay, I don't want any of your doodles to get jealous, but here are some pictures of sexy Pazzie, snoozing on my bed wearing his new, bright red t shirt which reads "Canine All Star"! He was exhausted after eating his huge bowl of homemade chicken soup, going for a long walk and chasing some squirrels. Needless to say, his mommy's bed is the best place to take a long nap and watch his morning TV shows; Pazzie loves watching "Hot Bench" in the morning and "Dr. Phi" l in the afternoon, so I let Pazzie take the remote rather than arguing with him. Don't let Pazzie's sleepy look fool you, because he really is on high alert and on a moment's notice, he will hide under the bed if there is an intruder!
Snuzzies is a great word.....I am snuzzying Pazzie right now and sending him your snuzzies....he is really filled with himself, sporting his new bald hairdo and t shirts, Pazzie thinks he is a really sexy fashionista! Watch out Kardashians....Pazzie has it all over you!
Thank you so much...I'm taking lots of pictures that potentially can be used in a book!
Paz looks so comfortable.
OMD Charley, Pazzie is rocking his new look. We love that he's chasing pigeons and squirrels. Letting his "bad self" out. It's all good Pazzie. No limits :)
PS Finn says to tell you if you catch one, just give it a love tap on the head with your nose. That confuses 'em. (Hey, I'm just the messenger).
Love this picture! Paz looks adorable in his snazzy red attire.
Hi all, just want to give you an update on my bald, but very beautiful Pazzie. He had a chemo treatment on Monday and so far, so good. The oncologist said that Paz's early remission status remains stable and he is pleased with the results. The oncologist is very involved in ongoing research on canine lymphoma, including a 10 year study which indicates that in a select group of dogs where early remission has been achieved, the addition of 2 radiation sessions will greatly enhance the prognosis. One radiation session will radiate the lymph nodes from the waist up and the second radiation will radiate the lymph nodes from waist down. The oncologist feels that Paz may be eligible, but Paz will require a full body scan to determine if he meets the eligibility criteria; the oncologist reports the radiation side effects are minimal and the dog may experience lethargy or nausea for a few days. if that. I told the oncologist that I definitely want him to proceed with the scans to determine if Paz is eligible, and if he is, to go ahead with the two radiation sessions, so Paz is scheduled for the scan next Monday. Needless to say, I am praying that Pazzie will be eligible, but I must be prepared for disappointment. I am really grateful that Paz's oncologist is so very skilled and we have access to state of the art treatment. The oncologist submitted a radiation treatment plan for approval to Trupanion, and received the approval within 15 minutes after submission. Thank goodness for Trupanion's incredible staff and coverage, since the cost of the radiation treatment is an additional $6,500 and I was concerned the insuror would consider radiation treatment experimental and deny payment, however, they immediately preapproved payment. The oncologist and oncology nurse said Paz has such an incredible spirit and that Paz literally talks to everyone who passes on the unit (which is a kind way of saying he's barking a lot if he is not the center of attention). Way to go, Paz....just shows cancer can't keep a good man down!
