Please "friend" me and share your thoughts on a few breeders

Hello doodle friends,


I am brand new to doodle kisses, but I have been lurking since August. While I do not currently have a doodle, I plan to have one in the future, but I need to do my research. This is where you doodle owners come in. I have read the "what to look for in a breeder" article, which was very helpful, but I would like doodle owners to share their thoughts, opinions, or suggestions on a few breeders. As the article says, "don't sugar coat," so please give me both the positives and negatives. I read the guideline about breeder recommendations so I hope that you can friend me to share your information. Also, I live in southeastern PA so if anyone knows of a reputable breeder in the PA/NJ/MD/DE area please friend me and share your doodle knowledge.

I also live in PA.  I just put a deposit down on a Doodle through [[[[]]]]]]].  I contacted a few breeders and I really liked ------.  She has been breeding Golden Retrievers for the past 25 years.  I felt she was honest and really knew her stuff.  And you could tell she really loves what she does.  I spoke to her on the phone and she answered all of my questions. This was from her site. 

Here at -------, we have bred Golden Retrievers for almost 25 years, and it's always been a family affair. ----- and I , and our son, ===== are involved with the care and socialization of our dogs and puppies. We have an excellent reputation with our dogs for temperament, disposition, and health. Our Goldens and Poodles have their hip, eye and heart health clearances. Our breeding dogs are selected on their temperaments and health.  My Golden Retriever mothers are especially very calm, mellow and laid back dogs because puppies will feed off of a mother's energy so if you have a calm and mellow mother you will get calm and mellow puppies, if you have a hyper, high strung, nervous mother you will get hyper, high strung puppies.

I don't know if other people have used ------- on this site.  I am curious to hear their opinions if they did.

  Thank you for the reply! I will check out the site. How exciting for you to take the doodle plunge and place a deposit, congrats! You will have to keep me posted.

The website could use some updating so don't rely just on that.  I would recommend calling her.

Tara, the reason that Shannon asked people to "friend" her is because breeder recommendations, referrals and reviews are prohibited here in the open forum. You have to do it by private message.
