Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hi All, Been a while since I posted tho I do check in occasionally. Retirement has been very busy with home projects, traveling, fostering pups. My sweet Sophie has taken all this with grace and dignity as she always does.
I received a Les Pooches brush (love it!) for Christmas and while I was trying it out I discovered a growth under Sophie's chin. Long story short she is scheduled for surgery to remove it on Monday. Last night I found a second growth on her left leg. I let the vet know about this and they will check it out also on Monday. This is so frightening. In times of distress there are those who can be counted on for support and advice. I know this group will not only empathize but may also have some thoughts and recommendations on this situation. Thank you for listening.

Keeping good thoughts that all will be well on Monday for your sweetie

Thanks all. Vet did not mention needle aspiration. She was pretty low key about the whole deal. She is going to clean her teeth while she's sedated. I'm trying not to worry but as you all know . . . Thanks again

Vern had to have a large growth removed from his leg. It turned out to be nothing and I hope Sophie gets the same results. We are sending positive thoughts your way! Keep us posted.

I am so sorry for you and  Sophie and am sending positive support for her surgery.  Please keep us updated.

I'm so sorry to hear this....I hope everything goes fine on Monday.  Please let us know.

Scheduled for 8 am. Thanks for the kind words and please say a prayer for us tomorrow.
Hoping all goes well for Sophie. Sending positive thoughts for you both.
We've had quite the day. Sophie is home and doing well. The tissue from the masses has been shipped off for testing so hopefully that will all be clear. The incisions look good. She's sort of drowsy but all is well right now. Thank you for all the good wishes. They really helped. Especially since we've had a lot of drama today with our new foster. See the new post. Whew. Glad this day is almost over.

I haven't been on the site too much recently but I hoping that all's well with Sophie and that she heals quickly.

Thank you Cheryl. Sophie is doing very well. Back to get stitches out in a week. Anxious for the pathology reports.

Sending prayers and positive thoughts that the report comes back good!

I too have had to have tumors removed from one of my dogs. He was three yrs old with a growth close to his left eye. Rooney's did come back as cancer but it was the kind that once they take it out it usually doesn't return.  It never did return anywhere else on his body and he lived to a ripe old age and passed away three months shy of his 15th birthday.

Thanks, Patty. We are anxiously awaiting the reports. Sophie is her usual happy self.
