Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

We are looking for a Mini Australian Labradoodle that will end up around 20 lbs as an adult. Looking for a wavy fleece coat in gold/apricot/red. Fingers crossed that he/she is a swimmer to coincide with our boating lifestyle.

Our "short" list of breeders is:
-Whispering Winds
-Manor Lake
-Log Cabin (We like the idea of the addition of Charm School)
-Heartsong
-Swinging Gate

If you have any comments, either pro or con, please feel free to PM me with any details. We are certainly opened to other suggestions as well that we may have overlooked.

how about haltonhills labradoodles

thats where i got bentley who is 26 to 30 pounds

We adopted Gibbs from Manor Lake Laboradoole and he has been an excellent dog. Great disposition, happy guy and has been very healthy. I understand in the Northeast there is a issue with Giardia (sp), I asked that they recheck before they put Gibbs on a plane and they did and he was just fine. I have looked at other websites for Labradoodles and I like Seaspray Labradoodles in Florida. Good luck with your puppy search. Gibbs was supposed to be a small, but is more like a medium small, he weighs 33 lbs and we think that is a pretty good size dog. Only downside, is he is long legged enough to counter surf LOL!! Happy puppy shopping!

Thanks for your reply,

I assume you meant northwest, correct?

I believe that we are supposed to keep all discussions of names of breeders private.  I highly recommend another one that isn't on your list. I will send you a note.

I don't know if you have yet found the "What to Look for In a Breeder" article here on DK in the Help section. It might give you some ideas too and help with your decision.
