Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I'm not on Doodle Kisses often, but still get the newsletter from Adina.
I wanted to let you all know that our much loved goldendoodle -- Bear (8 1/2) had to be put to sleep on friday :(.
He hadn't eaten for a couple of days, so we took a trip to the vet. He was bleeding internally, they suspect from an undiagnosed tumor that ruptured.
The kindest thing we could do for him at that point was to let him go to sleep peacefully.
We are truly devastated. He was the smartest, gentlest dog i've ever known.

My condolences Bonnie for your loss of Bear. How devastating to lose him especially so suddenly and tragic. Several doodles have passed away due to some kind of tumors rupturing. The heartache and grief that can come when we don't have our beloved pets can be so overwhelming. So sorry.
I am so very sorry for your loss.
So very sorry for the loss of your wonderful doodle.
So very sorry for your loss. Good news-Next time you see Bear you wont have to part ever again:) And since Iam here I would like to share this with you. From the book The Prophet:
And a woman spoke, saying, "Tell us of Pain."
And he said:
Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.
Even as the stone of the fruit must break, that its heart may stand in the sun, so must you know pain.
And could you keep your heart in wonder at the daily miracles of your life, your pain would not seem less wondrous than your joy;
And you would accept the seasons of your heart, even as you have always accepted the seasons that pass over your fields.
And you would watch with serenity through the winters of your grief.
Much of your pain is self-chosen.
It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self.
Therefore trust the physician, and drink his remedy in silence and tranquillity:
For his hand, though heavy and hard, is guided by the tender hand of the Unseen,
And the cup he brings, though it burn your lips, has been fashioned of the clay which the Potter has moistened with His own sacred tears.
So so sorry to hear the loss of your beloved Bear. He sure does look like a big ball of furry love in his pictures. Incredible how they steal our hearts.
I am new to this discussion but not to having a golden doodle, I have three. My oldest Max is 8 1/2 and when I read your post I was in tears. I am so sorry for your loss I can't even imagine how hard that was for you. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
