Hi everyone.
I give Gracie her Advantix on the 1st of every month ... I picked that date because I thought I'd be sure to remember it. So on Feb. 1st I gave her the heartworm pill but got distracted and forgot to do the Advantix.
So now it's the 18th. Should I give it to her now and then resume my regular schedule in 2 weeks (March 1) or just wait until then. I went to Bayer's web site thinking there would be some information about missing doses but there was nothing.
I live in NYC, in Manhattan, and it's been very cold (below freezing many days) all month so far, and when I take her outside (even though she may not need it) she wears a winter coat which covers her whole back and 1/3 of her front legs, so the likelihood of her getting a tick may be remote at this time of the year ... I think ...
Thanks in advance for for any advice you can provide.
Don
P.S. I believe I've heard that if humans miss a dosage of medicine they're advised to wait until the next time they would regularly take it (depending on the medicine and the condition, I assume).

Wait til the first, but only because it's not flea or tick season in your area. If it were August, I'd say give it to her tonight, lol.
Thank you both for the quick reply!
I've learned so much over the last few years from reading the messages and the replies.
Much appreciated.
We give our meds year round, but I think you're fine to give them the meds on your regular schedule since, as mentioned, it's not peak season for fleas/ticks/mosquitos. However, here in Maryland the temperature fluctuates SO frequently we never know when it's going to be warm. For example, it's supposed to almost get up to 60!! A couple days of that and the animals start stirring again :O
I would not worry at all and wait until March 1st since it is so cold there.
Thanks to all of you for your replies.
You are all very reassuring!
