Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I've been looking at hosting a Doodle Romp in Walla Walla since sometime last year. Original discussion here was getting too complicated, but feel free to read through for history.
I would like to see who would come if the doodle romp date is June 23/24 -- this is a Thur/Fri so those who want to stay for the weekend are welcome to do so. And the only planned "event" will be some planned dog park time as a group and perhaps impromptu "Let's go for a walk here!"
Please raise your hand by posting your interest level ONLY IF you think you can make it.
Tell me if you are in the For Sure or Thinking About It category.
DO NOT respond if you can't make it.
I only want a YES/Maybe count for a doodle romp set for June 23/24 -- it will likely be warm (mid to high 80s with historical high as high as 100-something) but you never know.

We just reserved a room at the Motel 6 in Walla Walla per Google Maps about 2.5 miles from the dog park, Fort Walla Walla Park. Called this Motel 6 and gentleman at front desk indicated this is a new Motel 6 built only a few month ago. There is no pet fee or weight limit on number of dogs. We stayed at 7 other Motel 6's a couple of years ago and all were decent to good and no pet concerns and price is always good in comparison to other places. If you book online there is a box for corporate code if you google Motel 6 Corporate Code you can get it and get I think a 10% discount.
Prior to booking investigated some other options:
LaQuinta - called front desk and gentleman said the owner is in process of changing from a LaQuinta to Quality Inn. LaQuinta is pet friendly he did not think the policy would change but did not know for sure.
City Center Motel - Pet friendly may be the least expensive place 17 rooms if reviews online are true is run down some but works as a place to sleep.
Marcus Whitman - someone earlier in the thread indicated they already booked a place here
Holiday Inn Express - $20 per night per pet if I remember limit 2 dogs
Comfort Inn - Pet friendly but limit 2 dogs
Travel Lodge - Pet friendly I think it was $10 per night.
Probably a few others but for us decided on Motel 6. Past Motel 6's have been a basic room place to sleep no fridge.
We have 6/22 - 6/25 reserved we are planning on doing some other sightseeing/vacationing in addition to the Romp.
See you there, Ann and Mike! Looking forward to seeing Duke, Sheba, and Pepper again and getting some more photography tips from Mike.
I'm excited to meet my Birthday friend and your gorgeous doodles. AND...and...our romp will have the BEST photos with you and Mike and Nancy (anyone else from the PG coming?)!!!
We will be there. Just made reservation a Travel Lodge
Sounds like the motels are getting full for June..
