Hi all, I'm so distraught.  Paz had a fatty tumor on his side, that had been aspirated and was just fatty tissue.  This morning, the vet found 3 lumps on Paz, all on his left side; she aspirated them and sent them to the pathologist and I'm hoping to get the results tomorrow.  She said they must rule out lymphoma, and it could possible be a sign of infection, so she also took a complete blood panel.  She said they looked like inflammatory cells under the microscope, but she is not a pathologist, therefore would not venture a guess.  I'm just an absolute mess; I can't stop shaking.  Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience.

I know...I'm in big trouble!  I decided this weaning process may take a long time; at this very moment I'm cooking a  3 lb chicken / beef meatloaf containing meat, chicken, grated apple, eggs, cottage cheese and sweet potatoes!  Paz is staring at the oven, looking like a labragoat who hasn't eaten for days, although he just finished eating his breakfast.

The love you have for him makes me smile!  I think you need to post a picture of Mr. Paz, the labragoat!

Such a good Mom.....

What a meanie mom you are, trying to feed him store bought junk!  Smart Paz!

So very excited.....Paz went for his weekly chemotherapy today, and the oncologist informed me that Paz is graduating from weekly chemotherapy to chemotherapy every two weeks for the final 8 treatments!  The oncologist said Pazzie's lymph nodes remain normal, he is cancer free and ready to graduate to the final 8 chemo treatments which are every two weeks.......his platelets are still a bit low from the radiation, but gradually improving each week.  The oncologist noted that Pazzie is really frisky ( a nice way of stating Paz is jumping around like an out of control puppy); the oncologist said the next treatment in two weeks is really powerful, so I shouldn't be upset if Paz doesn't feel well for a few days after that treatment, however, Paz is very resilient and I'll make Pazzie my special kosher chicken soup which I know will help him recover really quickly.  OMG, thank you to my Doodlekisses family who has helped sustain me through this truly difficult journey and whose support I truly cherish.  It's hard to believe Paz was diagnosed in November, and we have come so far.  Please know I appreciate all your prayers, which have truly made such a difference to me.   Oh well, I better start preparing Pazzie's chicken soup,  which I can freeze and have ready for him after his next chemo in two weeks.  In the interim, Paz will have to be satisfied with meatloaf, plain boiled chicken and sweet potato.....poor thing!

Awesome news.

Hooray! Hooray! Hooray!

Yippee!!!

Charlotte! I thank you for sharing this experience with all of us. Hooray for Paz and Hooray for you! When you figure out how to stop adding chicken etc. to Paz's food, please tell me. I am committed to cooking for Scrabble and little Rosie as well. I am a push over and I suspect, that you are as well. So so happy for Paz and his well being!

Such great news.....

Good Morning Charlotte! Hope all is going well. I just saw a neighbor this morning, who sadly reported to me that her Westie has been diagnosed with lymphoma. Obviously she is not a Doodle Kisses person. Maggie began treatment yesterday at Angel, here in Boston. I was telling her about you and Paz. How wonderful it would be if she could reach out to you privately. Is that possible? She is a lovely woman. Let me know your thoughts.

Of course she could reach out to me;  Just send me a message and I will give you all my information, so we could speak.  I totally understand how she feels and I can share my experiences.  I'd be happy to help in any possible way.
