Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hi there,

My name is Sandra and my husband and I have just purchased a "flat coat" F1B goldendoodle from Burkhart Kennels in Ontairo Canada.

We were wondering if anyone else's F1B goldendoodle was flat coated and what their puppy ended up looking like when they were full grown.

Thanks!

Usually a flat-coated goldendoodle looks more like a smallish golden retriever. If your breeder told you that your pup was flat coated, then I don't think it will 'doodle out' in the traditional sense. Flat-coated dogs are almost always shedding dogs.  Here is a group you should check out. http://www.doodlekisses.com/group/wheresthepoodleinmydoodle  There are lots of adorable flat-coated doodles in that group.

Your puppy is very cute.  He does no look as flat as some of the flat coated GDs.

for the most part it depends,on how their fur looks. I have a female miniature golden doodle with a very flat coat. She is now 3 months and we have notices her ears have started to curl and her fur seems to run off of her body. We are suspecting she will be the shaggy kind. so try to watch for hir tht is running off the body because that could point out your doodle will be shaggy.
This is what my doodle currently looks like. Notice the fur growing off of her ears.

Hi! I have an F1b mini goldendoodle who is has a flat coat. I will attach a current picture of her. She will be 2 at the end of August. We love her very much. She looks a lot like Lily I think.

Wow! Christine, your doodle and Sandra's doodle do look exactly alike!

I showed my husband the picture of Lily, but didn't say anything. He thought it was a Nala baby picture. Lol. Nala had a jet black nose when she was a baby. I just think all these doodles are too cute!
