Greetings from a concerned owner of a goldendoodle whose belly has started to turn dark. Anyone have any idea why??

If there's no hair loss or skin lesions, and the skin is flat and normal, just darker, it's probably just a normal darkening of the relatively hairless skin on the belly that occurs in a lot of dogs, often at this time of year due to sun exposure. But it would be a good idea to have your vet take a look, just to be sure it isn't due to a medical condition.

I was just thinking yesterday my GD pup's belly looked like it was darkening.

Annabelle's belly has darkened. It was a pretty pink as a new little puppy. It has slowly darkened over time. Her nose has changed color as well. It was black and over the last several months has started turning brown. It is now more brown than black.

Sorry for the photo, but Oliver is 2 years old. He had early neuter at breeders. He went in for summer cut and I noticed darkening of groin area. I have an appointment with Vet coming up, but wonder if anyone has heard of Abnormally low growth hormone and dark skin. Thanks in advance
