Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hey Everyone:) We have a new 8 week old doodle puppy named Gus. We bought him a kong, nylabone,a stuffed duck that squeaks, a rope and ball and he doesn't seem very interested in anything but our clothing and daughters hands and feet:/ What are your doodle's favorite toys?

Our doodle liked the small type toys, soft ones that I got at Petco or PetSmart. He has never liked Kongs, stuffed or unstuffed, or nylabones. He is now 8 months old, and his favorites are ones that I have purchased at Bed, Bath and Beyond, they seem sturdier. He is not a destroyer of toys, so I am thankful for that. He likes to grab my housecleaning rags and run away with them, but will relinquish with a treat. Its the chase that he loves. Good luck. Dee and Chappie
The only toy our Hank loves!

The only ball our doodle likes is the Chuckit, the one with the strings on it. I got the size that can't roll under the furniture, I think it is about 8" in diameter.
I actually get the large or extra large ones for the same reason! (Hank is big, about 70 pounds) Hank likes the orange rubber ones tho. :)
Chappie is a mini, 25 pounds, so the smaller one works for his little mouth. He picks up the ball with the strings. Loves it. I read to get something that doesn't roll under furniture, or you will spend a large part of your day on your hands and knees:)
Our doodle loves the tug ropes. It's great for their teeth and it's his own little chew toy but interactive toy as well.
Annabelle's first year she was a big time chewer. I had to get the toughest toys for her or she would have them destroyed in minutes. I had to work with her on what was for chewing and what was for playing. Our favorites were the west paw brand for chewing. They held up the best to her chewing. She is almost 2 now and her favorite toy is her frisbee, followed by her shark fin or a ball small enough for her to go fetch and bring back. The little rubber ones are her favorites and the fuzzy ones are ok, but not her first choice when grabbing a toy from her toy box.
It seems like you have a variety. His interest might change as he gets older. Molly has a stuffless fox that she loves, but won't touch the rabbit that is just like it. She also liked the squeaker toys and chased after balls. We went through the clothes biting. It was a tough time. Molly even bit a hole in my son's baseball uniform. It got better though. If you haven't read the information on this puppy madness site about all of the mouthing, you might want to check it out. It helped me. Good luck! He is a real cutie.
My Chappie likes the plastic water bottles (empty) as well. I got a toy that they fit into, and seal at the bottom with Velcro. When the bottle looses it crunchy sound, just replace with a new bottle, it is again a new toy.
