Shedding!!! 8 week old puppy!

Hey:) I have posted in other groups but they have directed me here. I have an 8 week old goldendoodle named Gus. From the moment we brought him home he has been shedding an obscene amount. We're talking our clothes are COVERED in hair if he sits on us or if we pet him. I heard not even retriever pups shed that early on. Has anyone else's doodle done this? Also, I would love to know if anyone's pup looked like Gus as a baby and how they look now all grown up. We are so stumped on what he will end up looking like. Thanks for the feedback!

Thank you for your reply! Your Gracie is adorable:) I really hope that Gus gets a shaggy wavy coat but we will still love him regardless.

Gus is so cute! I think he'll get wavy. Our Lloyd is wavy (very loose) and his facial furnishings finally grew in after about a year. He did not start shedding that early but he does shed some now. It's nothing terrible like the shedding of our previous pugs but we get tumbleweeds in the corners and hair on our black clothes. I have to say I was hoping for non-shedding but I do enjoy the savings on grooming costs. Sometimes I think maybe we should've just gotten a pure golden retriever but Lloyd does NOT have a doggie smell!! Hooray!
