Hey Everyone! I was just curious if anyone's puppy was without furnishings and then ended up with a shaggy/doodle coat as an adult? Our guy's hair is changing rapidly already but he really doesn't have much for furnishings. Thanks!

Lloyd started out with very little wispy furnishings (see his baby photos in my profile) but they seemed to have come in after his first birthday. He's always been a shaggy wavy though. Enjoy watching the changes!

He is soo handsome! I hope our guy will be as cute as him! It will be fun to watch all of his changes! Thanks for the response:)

Lloyd looks likes my Lucy! Lucy didn't start out with facial furnishings but she looks a lot like Lloyd now at 8 months.

Lloyd and Lucy look like twins at that age! Love it! I think doodles that look like ours are the best ;)

Seriously, Lloyd was THE WORST puppy but now he is such a GREAT dog! Here are more current pictures of Lloyd:

Here's Lloyd at around 9 months:

It'll be great to see how Lucy turns out!

Lloyd is so handsome! He has such a beautiful colored coat! I also think doodles that look like ours are the best, but I'm obviously biased :P Lucy was also the worst puppy ever, but she's absolutely perfect now.

If you don't mind me asking, I have two questions!

Lucy has a weird wiry patch where the hairs look rather sparse, in the middle of her back toward her tail, but it doesn't seem like it's spreading. In fact, it seems like the softer, curlier fur is spreading out, but I can't be sure. How long did it take for Lloyd to develop his adult coat?

Also, how much does Lloyd weigh? Lucy was the biggest girl puppy in the litter, but she's smaller than we expected her to be. She's at about 44 lbs. right now, and almost 9 months old.

So glad they are out of the naughty puppy phase!

I feel like his adult coat was pretty much in by 10 months or so. His more wiry hair kind of blended in with the softer hair and it seems to be evened out now. The facial furnishings around the eyes didn't come in until a few months after he turned one. I suspect anything could happen until they're about 2?

Lloyd weighs about 50lbs. He should be gaining more muscle but has been steady at 50lbs since about 11 months. I feel like I should give him more to eat but he already has a nice thin padding around his ribs.

Haha, you bet I'm glad she's out of the puppy phase. I still have so many battle scars all over my legs and arms from when she wouldn't stop biting.

I'm hoping the same happens to that wiry patch. The rest of her coat is pretty soft with loose curls, except for that patch. Hopefully Lucy's on the same trajectory as Lloyd and will grow up to be just at beautiful! I would love for her to be fully grown at around 50 lbs.

Thank you so much for your wisdom :)

Hi.....My Lexee at 11 weeks and her at her 1st bday......They do get the facial furnishings....it just seems to take some longer than others....

We wanted the exact look she has and it seem to take forever....
