My doodles coat.....

[Mckenzie and Remington]

Remi is cream colored but getting darker coarser hair coming in on her back. Will that be what her coat looks like as an adult? I love the soft puppy fur and sad to see it turn coarser. Also she doesn't have much fluff on her legs as you can see in her picture. Do you think she will fluff up? Thanks!!

[Amy and Annabelle]

Annabelle is 2 years old and still has a little bit of a "racing stripe" down her back. It is not what the rest of her coat looks like. There are times I look at her think her coat is turning darker, and others not. The stripe used to be darker and courser but has lightened up quite a bit. It seems to be pretty normal for the cream doodles, not sure why.

Our doods have had the same experience as Amy. It is still a little coarser down the back, but not as noticeable anymore. The rest of their coat is super soft!

This seems to be a phase of the coat of many doodles.

How old is she? I'm noticing the same things with my Otto. shorter, curlier, coarser, darker hair down his back. He is a light apricot color. He is 5 months old. Looking wavier but more "scraggly"

A little before a year

When we got Bella, her fur was like a mix between tan and gold. It was mostly wavy. Then when we had to shave her puppy coat off, It got curlier. But her head stayed wavy. As it gets longer, it gets more wavy. Ever since she was a puppy she has always had the course stripe down her back. Sorry I don't have any pictures after the shave:( When I get some on my computer, I will show you:)

The thing that i think looks the silliest is that she has no fluff on her legs! her whole body is shaggy and her legs and flat fur. I hope it doodles out haha!
