Doodle Rescue Needs Volunteers in So Cal!

DRC is desperately in need of volunteers in Southern California. There are doodles in kill shelters as well as doodles whose owners have applied to rehome them, all waiting to be saved. The greatest need is for foster homes, but we also need people who can help with pulling from shelters and with transport, so even if you can't foster, maybe you can help save a life just by driving. Please, please, consider volunteering with DRC.

One of the things we really need are people who have time to go to the shelter and take pictures of a dog we want to check out more thoroughly. While we would really like to help every fluffy dog (and those that aren't) our resources are limited so we try to pull those that we  think are labradoodles, goldendoodles, Aussiedoodles, and a few other =oodles if we can.   The brief shelter picture often doesn't give us enough information about what the dog really looks like - do we think it is a doodle? What is its size? What is its build?  What does it's tail look like? How are the ears set? If you live near a shelter and could go visit, it would be really helpful.

Yep. An hour of your time, no muss, no fuss; drive to a shelter, take a few pictures, go home, and a dog who is at risk of being killed for no good reason is saved. 

How many chances do we get in life to save a life with so little effort or inconvenience?
