My girls are my favorite of all the dogs I have ever shared a home with...having said that they are sometimes so weird!!

We have always struggled to keep Polly interested in eating.  We tried Doggy Dan's method of acting like we were eating over her bowl, it worked for a week or so.  We added a spoonful of yogurt, worked a bit but still had to beg her. She often walks away from her food and goes exploring, then I have to pick it up because Meg would finish if she had a chance.   It is always a struggle for breakfast but when dinner time comes she buries her face in the bowl and stays there until finished.

Two weeks ago I put her food down and picked up four pieces of kibble and laid a path to her bowl.  She now eats the path on her way and then starts eating and stays put until she is done.  ????? Amusing, but honestly, how weird?  Takes a lot to figure them out sometimes, hope this continues to work.

I know I don't have the only odd doodles, what do yours do?

At this time we have our newest guy on a different food than Ned and Clancy.  Ned wants his food and he wants Ned's.  Finally, I put 3 kibbles of the different food in each one's bowl.  We are in the process of transitioning Charlie to Orijen so this isn't going to go on much longer, but it entices them both to get started on their own bowl of food.

Mostly, Maci won't eat till Yogi is done. When she first starts to eat, she takes one piece from her bowl to another area,
and eats it. Then comes to repeat for a few bites. After that, she stands at the bowl, takes a bite, raises her head, looks around, then takes a bite, looks around, on, & on. She will rarely eat the food on the backside of the bowl.
Many times we have had to jump start her eating by dropping a few pieces on the floor by her bowl.
She also likes to snoop, and go over to check Yogi's bowl soon after he starts eating.

Yogi on the other hand, is all business. He just eats as fast as he can. :-)

Bella has to go in the living room to eat. She takes a mouth full hurries into the living room, drops it on the floor, and then starts eating! Its so weird, I don't know why she does it!

Bailey will not eat out of a bowl unless I am holding it.  She hates when it moves on the floor as she is eating.  I put her kibble on a small rug and she is fine eating off of the rug.  She gets special treats such as hard boiled egg and cottage cheese in a bowl (held by me).  She is fine drinking water out of a bowl........unless she is really hot and then she stands in front of the fridge and barks for someone to get her fresh ice water which she prefers served to her in a hand held bowl.

But she is not spoiled....much! :>))
