If you would like critiques and/or help with editing of potential calendar shots post them here. Members often volunteer to help. Please post the original photo unedited if you want help. The helper will probably ask you to email the original photo. Before you ask for help on your photos read the Guidelines for the calendar and keep them in mind when taking photos and when posting here. Remember to take the best quality, ie large file size and highest resolution your camera can take.

An easy way to see if your photo meets the minimum calendar requirements is to use Jeffrey's exif viewer.

http://regex.info/exif.cgi

You can pop your photo's URL in the proper place and you will get lots of metadata including # of pixels. there is a ton of information but the number of pixels is what you need. Calendar pictures must be 2300 pixels wide by 1800 pixels high.

Nice edit, Laurie, and what a cute doodle.

The resolution is only 70, however, and I don't think that's enough.  I could be wrong . . .

You are right. too few pixels.

This one is adorable. My edit. Make sure and check the size with the calendar requirements.

awwww this is so sweet

One of them might not have enough pixels but it is so close, I would submit it anyway. The problem with the cropping is that when I tried to crop to the proper size, most of them don't have enough width.  These are beautifully crisp.  Two of the things that I know Adina looks at are cutting off the paws at the bottom and leaving enough room above the dog's head for the hole in the calendar not to be 'drilled' into the dogs head.  I would see if your dh could take a few more using the side view and keeping the total dog  in the photo.  I don't know how to do special editing but this is what I did.

If your pic doesn't have enough pixels it is possible to add some if it's a photo that has simple to clone areas.

I feel like I'm waking up Christmas morning and finding lots of goodies that happened overnight - what a lovely way to wake! Thanks so much all for your edits and caring to help the newbie here. I'm going to read today and try to figure out some of this. It is just so nice to be thinking about photo group instead of posting in health group for a change! :-)

I don't know why this didn't load with the others last night. I was unable to fix the blown out part on the side.

Thank you, Nancy! This looks great - it is my favorite shot of her, for me it captures her sweet soul. But DH cut off the darn paws!! Paws are too cute to omit. We will have to remember that...

Can someone fix this picture please. I need it to be less blown out and I want the doodle to be looking at the camera. :>)))

I wish I knew how to photoshop! ;)

LOL...I have SO MANY of these kind of shots. Either Vern is blown out or you can't see Fudge's eyes.
