Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
This is for photos you are thinking of submitting for the Calendar and that you would like to show us. If you want more detailed critiques and/or editing help I have started another discussion for that. I know there will be overlap and possibly a mish mash but we can handle that. Don't forget to check the guidelines.

I'm stating early because the calendar submissions need to be in by 9/22. seems like the submission period gets shorter every year.
Remember that vertical shots only go on the multiple doodles per page calendar. If you want a chance at a full page you need horizontal shots.Tags:
For the slide show you just upload photos to the main photo page of the WHOLE site. Not in a group or discussion. Then be sure to tag it. Here is Lori's post: http://www.doodlekisses.com/forum/topics/save-the-slideshow-new-themes
It's too late for the blue theme now...next is the "throwaways" theme.
The calendar is a side issue on the site. The site is a social and informational place for poodle mix dog lover/owners to 'meet' - cyberly and/or in person. Tammy, sometimes people cruise the web, join dk, ask us to vote for their dog in a contest of some sort, then disappear. The same thing happens with the calendar.
Everyone who is a long time member, wants more people to join and add their expertise, their experiences etc. as well as benefit from ours.
Laurie, I have been a member for a while but have been more of a lurker than a poster. I especially value the opinion of the food group. I am constantly reading that. A lot of people lurk but don't post. After getting DJ my dood and being a lurker for 2 years, I finally decided to try my hand at the calendar. I have learned a lot through this discussion and value that as well. I am taking (I think) better pix of my baby and I thank you all for that. I DO agree that Adina's dogs should be in the calendar, I said that as soon as the discussion came up. Just remember that some people are shy about posting because they are not that knowledgeable, not because they are just popping in for the calendar. I hope you don't think I am one of those that popped in just for that because I definitely am not. You in particular have taught me a lot and I hope to continue to learn
Peri, I was happy to help and yes, your pictures are much improved. Go back and look at the "Dog running at you" discussion. OMD....my pictures were so bad and many still are. LOL You make a good point about lurkers. I have been on DK so long I guess I get grouchy some times :) I really did not mean to act like new poster's photos are not important. I only was referring to those people who join just to make the calendar and then leave after the calendar is published.
Laurie, the reason this is REALLY fun for me is originally, 45 years ago my major in college for 1 semester was photography but my eyes got so bad back then that I had to change majors and I eventually dropped out cause I had no other passion. I had my own darkroom then and developed my own black & white pictures. I put the camera side other then fun pictures after that. My eyes still aren't great but they actually got better with age but not enough to become a pro. It was my first love and I am really enjoying dipping my fingers in again. No offense was taken, just pointing out that some of us have been working for awhile. It took a lot for me to come out LOL. Also I'm having a lot of trouble navigating this section. I can't figure out a lot of times which comments go with what pictures :( Where do I find the Dogs running at you (I'm such an idiot :( )
The search engine on DK is complicated and when discussions get too big it is hard to find old comments. Mainly, replies for each photo are directly under the photo, but sometimes after so many replies it won't let you reply anymore. DK is going to be updated, so hope all that gets fixed. I had no interest in Photography until I got my two dogs. I have no pictures of my kids. LOL My daughter has a degree in Photography and I still took no pictures. I blame it on Fudge and Vern.
Sometimes, you can Google DoodleKisses and the topic and something will come up. Here is the discussion.

Also, several of the active members left in the PG owe a lot to Camilla (and Darwin) who took a lot of time giving us all lessons. Those should be in the tutorials F has listed under the Photography Group.
Tammy, I am trying to weed through this long discussion and can't find your pictures. Were your pictures the one of the puppy on the beach with the leash?
OK, I thought so. I hope you go back, hide the leash, and make sure to get her paws. Good luck!! She is adorable.
Thanks! Will try!
