Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
It's that time of year again. This is one of Sassparilla's favorite annual outings - water, friends and, of course, her birthday! This will be our 4th year attending. Sassy's birthday is the 14th so we consider this her birthday bash and I know she'd love to have her doodle friends come out and play with her. Last year Enzo, Jax and Cooper came and joined us.
Fun starts Saturday, September 10th and runs thru Sunday, September 11th. I think it's 9-5 Saturday and 9-4 Sunday? We go for both days so you can join us either day. It's a zero gravity fenced in pool but only dogs can swim, humans can wade (about knee deep, just enough to cool off). You must bring proof of vaccines, below is a list of their rules from last year. I haven't seen this years flyer yet?
It takes place at the Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park. Admission; humans are $5, dogs $1 and parking is free.
In addition to the “free-doggie swim,” Regional Parks also incorporates contests and pet education workshops into the program, including pet adoption opportunities and several booths with goodies for purchase. They also have raffles throughout the day with some nice gifts, we won last year and received a bag full of fun stuff. Josie even claimed one of the toys as her very own and she doesn't usually play with toys??
It's fun watching all the dogs play in the water, I'm hoping Kirstie can get the day off otherwise it'll just be me and the girls.

Pictures from previous years, 2015 was deleted before my layouts were printed so I have to start all over again! The first below is from 2014 and the second from 2013.

Just a reminder to those attending be sure to bring paper proof of vaccines and license.
Weather report; It's gonna be sunny and warm. I like to hide out over by the waterslides, by mid day you can take advantage of the shade by the small building. Bring chairs and water, I'll have an umbrella on hand and water for the dogs. I'll have a little blue cart, if you are looking for me check the water. I'm sure Sassparilla will keep me busy tossing the ball the whole time we are there!
It'll just be me and the dogs unless on Saturday we can find a ride home for my daughter, sadly she couldn't get Sunday off. I'll be staying locally at the La Quinta Inn.
Attached is the flyer with a break down of activities.
Hope to see you there.
So glad you made it. Love the pictures Sassy never let me rest today so I never got the camera out. It was great seeing everyone again. Toby continued wading and retrieving the ball so I think he's off to a good start. Both girls are out cold! A tired dog is a happy dog. lol Sassy was walking slow when we headed out to eat, hoping she survives tomorrow?
Jolene, LOVE,LOVE your photos! Thank you for posting them. It is so fun to see the dogs in the water. The photos are a nice way for us that couldn't be there to see the fun you had.
My favorite one is the one of Josie. LOL. One of my sons brought it to my attention when he saw Josie on the chair. He thought it was so cute that Josie went right up on the chair and sat there so perfectly :)
She's funny. You missed when she swam out to me and wanted me to hold her like a baby! Such a spoiled little girl. Thanks for getting the shot.
