If you would like critiques and/or help with editing of potential calendar shots post them here. Members often volunteer to help. Please post the original photo unedited if you want help. The helper will probably ask you to email the original photo. Before you ask for help on your photos read the Guidelines for the calendar and keep them in mind when taking photos and when posting here. Remember to take the best quality, ie large file size and highest resolution your camera can take.

An easy way to see if your photo meets the minimum calendar requirements is to use Jeffrey's exif viewer.

http://regex.info/exif.cgi

You can pop your photo's URL in the proper place and you will get lots of metadata including # of pixels. there is a ton of information but the number of pixels is what you need. Calendar pictures must be 2300 pixels wide by 1800 pixels high.

#2 this is a super cute picture!  Good job!

I like this shot too. Here is my edit. I am still seeing a painterly effect when I enlarge, but maybe it is just me since Nancy did not mention it in her edit.

Hi all, here are my 3 doodles...not easy to get them to look at camera..what are your thoughts?  Thank you!

OMD!  Could they be any cuter?  How did you get so lucky to have all that beauty???

Thank you, am wondering if it is good enough to submit for the calendar?

I doubt adina would select it since none of them are facing the camera but you can always submit.

I like how happy they are in this photo.

thank ou!

Ok sooo I'm not so sure about the pixels still, and it might need cloning to make it more horizontal, but this is the number you're looking at for the pixels, right? Also, can someone help me with the shadows please? his eyes I think need to be brightened up a bit, and the shadows in the grass are kind of a distractions but that could be easily fixed I think.

I am hoping a better editor than me gives this a shot.

He is so very adorable.  I tried to edit this several times without much luck.  There was just too much grass to clone to take it to 11 x 8.5, although it might make a nice Lots of Doodles calendar candidate in the original orientation.  Like many iPhone images, it is pixilated in spots at 100% and the tongue and nose are slightly blurred.  The shutter speed was 1/250 which is not quite enough for motion.

Sorry I couldn't do better with this one.  He is just so cute.
