I don't mind the smell. But vinegar in water might help since the smell is yeast and vinegar will inhibit it.
I'm wipe their paws often with baby wipes because we have a lot of carpet in the house so I need to keep their paws clean. That seems to prevent the smell for the most part. When they do smell we've joked that it reminded us of Fritos
Alma's paws smell like corn chips too. At certain times of the year she licks them like crazy. The vet said it's seasonal allergies and when she licks her paws it creates a yeast reaction. He recommended washing her paws with Malaseb shampoo (found on Amazon). It seems to work for her. But if Zoe just has smelly feet then I'd try the vinegar option or talk to your vet.
Thank you, Diane, for the rec! Will try the Malaseb.
Adina, it smells like musty dog smell located on just her paws and it's very strong. I guess it's kind of like corn chips but way grosser. Maybe part of it is just her transitioning from puppy to adulthood (she's 1.5 years) but I don't like the smell and think it's a lot stronger than many dogs. It's also gotten stronger over time, which might be because it's warming up here in Northern CA.
