Anybody have a recommendation for good 6 foot reflective leash that shows up really well in the dark?

With JD slowing down and the early darkness setting in, crossing streets in my poorly lit neighborhood at night is making me nervous. I looked at my local pet supply store, but the ones they had were either too short (4 feet won't cut it for us) or they only had a bit of reflective stitching that probably wouldn't even show up until a car was on top of us, lol.

Thanks for any recommendations.

My boys would be naked by choice! But, I have to walk them before and after work and it's dark then. There is also a trail at the end of my road that snowmobiles use, so I want to be sure I am visible. I walk them down to -30C which is where the boots come in, and they both have winter jackets with reflective piping on. It is my choice to exercise them when it is that cold (better than them trashing my house while I am at work due to excess energy!) so I make them wear clothes, neither of them particularly like it!!

You are a good doodle mom, lol!

We have a leash similar to this one. The reflective stands are braided through out the rope. We also have the red light up LED collar that the OP mentioned. I do find it gets lost a bit when his fur gets longer. I have reflective arm bands that I put on too. The construction vest is a good idea. I see lots of people with them.

I've got a pair of highly reflective velcro anklebands (used for running/cycling) that I velcro together into a big loop and wrap around Winnie's waist. I bought the extra wide kind. Works great! Which reminds me... I need to get another pair for Bob...

Tonight while we were out, a couple of people rode their bikes past us, and they had flashing red reflectors on the backs of the bikes. I think I might get one of those for the shoulder strap of the bag I carry on walks. It could go on the strap behind me, so JD and I won't see it. I think that and 6 feet of lighted neon green leash will do the trick.

I've used a lighted collar. I liked it... somewhat.

Kurgo, has a selection of reflective wear.

I also wear a vest myself.  I like my vest with a little pocket for poop bags.  Need a vest, Karen?  And yes, bike stores have great products for night activities.

I think a lighted leash will show up much better than a collar, especially with JD's long hair. You can barely even see a bandanna on him.

I am really not a vest person, lol. I might just stick some reflective tape on myself.

I doctored one of my old fleeces by sewing reflective tape onto it, I bought the tape at a fabric store. My dad used to work for the railways and has just donated me his bright orange reflective jacket he had to wear for inspecting track. It is large enough to go over my winter coat!

darn, I found this image but the link is broken

So apparently, there is a Leash Fairy lurking here on DK, because look what was just delivered to my door via Amazon:

It's 6 ft long and it even matches JD's collar!  can't wait to try it out tonight!
Thank you, Leash Fairy!

OMD! Love ❤️
