having second thoughts about posting this. Think I'll just speak to the trainer who tested if possible.

For those who are not familiar with Volhard Puppy Temperament Testing, here's some info:

Interpretations of the scores and recommendations for placement are included in the link.
It's important to remember that none of this is written in stone, and any puppy can have an "off" day, but puppies who score in the 5s and 6s are generally not suited for children and are probably not going to like cuddling, snuggling, etc.
Just wanted to say again, that I only deleted the text of the original post because I knew the best person to talk to would be the breeder or more importantly the trainer who did the testing. I had decided depending what the trainer said that I would have him retest the dog if he thought the dog had been having an off day. Such an emotional issue and I didn't want to allow myself to get too worried until I knew more.
In the end all the concern did not matter as I got one of the other two.
We will be bringing home a lovely male miniature golden doodle puppy, who from the test may be a wee bit more high energy, but who fell very nicely into the 3/4 scoring category recommended for families, in 2 weeks.
We had a fence installed in the backyard, bought his crate, dog bowls, brushes, floor clean up spray, collar and a couple of Konk chew toys. Still need to get a leash and stock up on paper towel..:-)
I've washed up a bunch of my older towels to be designated for him. Will be puppy proofing the areas of the house we are going to allow him in initially over the next week.
I think we are ready.
